This Weeks Question:
Post a link to a favorite post or book review that you have written in the past three months.
My Answer:
I'm not sure how much I like this weeks question. I don't really have a favorite blog post or review because all of them I feel aren't as good as I wanted them to be, simply because I'm a reviewer so spending a week writing one review while there are ten more in the waiting is not a very productive thing. The reviews of books that I love are always the hardest to write so I'd say my favorite review is the one I did on Fallen by Lauren Kate, because I didn't like it very much and the words just poured out of me. It's very seldom I give a negative review, but this one is really almost like my thought process.
You can read my Fallen review here.
My favorite review that I've done recently for a book I LOVED was definitely for The DUFF. I adored this book. LOVED it. I was surprised by how much I did and really my review is full of gushing, but everyone should read The DUFF.
You can read my review for The DUFF here.

Interesting. I've heard some good things about this book, but I've also heard the same sentiments you've expressed in your review. While the subject matter does sound interesting (and right up my alley!), I think I'm going to pass on Fallen.
I'm an old follower hopping through.
I read this review you posted. I've heard a lot of good things about this novel and was sad to read you didn't love it. I have it in my TBR pile and am still looking forward to it but I understand about wanting emotional depth.
Have an awesome weekend!

Negative reviews are the hardest to write. I don't have much of them, since, amazingly, I end up liking most of the books I've read and I'm yet to write a review for a book that I gave lower than a three-star rating, but it is challenging to write a bad review. I applaud the reviewers who do and still come across professionally! I thought your review of Fallen was rational and completely understandable. One of the better negative reviews I've read.

Thanks for stopping by the Hop!
I can understand why you didn't like Fallen, but it's one of my 2010 favorites. You did a great job of explaining why you didn't like it and not bashing. That's a good review!
Have a great weekend!
Hey! I'm already a follower just popping by to say hello!
And hey, kudos to you for your FALLEN review! That is *definitely* one of my least favorite books. Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like that book!
Have an awesome weekend :)
Hopping through. I really like your DUFF review. I'm super excited about this book solely because of all the great blog reviews.

Hopping by to say hi back! I read your Fallen review and left a comment. Hope you have a great weekend!
Hi! I'm a new follower from the hop! I've never read Fallen but it looks like a book I would totally pick up just from the cover art. Now I'm not so sure! I definitely think relating to and connecting with the characters makes a good book to me. Bummer!
Hello there! I've never been to this blog before, but I'm going to follow as soon as I post this.
I could agree with your points on Fallen, but I did like it overall. I reviewed it on my blog as well (http://www.thecritiquingcritica.blogspot.com/)
Also, I can agree about having 'favorite posts' for exactly the same reasons you do. But, I suppose I need to pick one to post... here's my review of The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong:

I've seen many bloggers comment on Fallen. I will add it to my wishlist.

Hey! I'm dropping by from the hop and have just become a follower! I thought Fallen was a bit slower and while I LOVE the cover, I did think the book got slow at times. I really enjoyed The DUFF too though!
Anyways, I hope you have a great weekend. :)

P.S. So, I totally scrolled down a bit on your posts and saw that you met Cassandra Clare. I'm jealous. ^.~
Oh man, I just noticed I described Fallen as 'slow' twice. My bad. *smacks forehead at the error*
Thanks for commenting on my hop post. =) I am going to go check out a few of your posts!
Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog! New follower here! And yes, Mockingjay was good, but I really wanted more closure with Gale.
